This is essentially a Jeff Lynne solo effort with a small amount of help from a couple guys from ELO. This was a big "pull it out and see who's is bigger" recording and, well, Mr Lynne is apparently hung like a racehorse. This album is the tits, the concept is cool. Too bad he didn't go all in and make the movie to accompany it... It still could happen.

Prologue and Twilight are such a bangers that they were used in the GAINAX opening animation for DAICON IV, and again for the live action drama Densha Otoko. -
ELO’s finest album in my opinion. Lots of interesting ideas and musical stylings explored here. -
Incredible record. Very quiet surface and insane amount of bass. Very well mastering, and these aren't hard to find, so seek out a copy. -
