superior pressing. being numbered, coming with a vinyl mitt, having an obi strip, having a PVC sleeve with the title, and having proper lined antistatic inner sleeves all make this far superior to the original RSD pressing, not to mention this costs a fraction of the price. feels a lot more .

I am replacing the RSD i ended up needing to sell to get a new laptop for much cheaper than I sold the RSD vinyl. It hasn't arrived yet, but I am a little surprised that this version which appears to have a much smaller pressing (50k? 30k? seems to be conflicted) and is numbered is so much cheaper than the RSD version which had a run of 115k globally 75k in the US. I'm thrilled, just like I'm thrilled she re-pressed Lover Live From Paris and the new version is also way more affordable. We didn't even get a number on the fortnight RSD so I expect those were essentially infinite.

Quality is top notch. Clean pressing, amazing mastering by Ryan K. Smith, beautiful embossed sleeve, and proper poly lined inner sleeves. No complaints.

Anyone have an idea of the number of copies of this release were produced?

I don’t have the Record Store Day edition to compare, but this Chinese reissue is incredibly well done! The sound quality is excellent, with great mastering. Vocals and instruments are perfectly balanced, and the songs sound clear and dynamic, delivering exactly what these versions aim for. The records are sturdy, arrived flat (not warped), and play flawlessly with no background noise or pops. The print quality and the materials used for the cover and insert are top-notch. It’s a fantastic option for anyone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on the RSD release.

As someone that has the RSD and bought this as a copy to play, I do still personally prefer the RSD. The discs are thicker on the RSD, and the Chinese pressing has almost a green tint to both the cover, the print and the discs. The PVC is a nice edition, but not when you shouldn’t keep records in them anyway. It’s a great alternative, but for me if I had the choice the RSD still takes the cake.

As a person who had chance to listen both RSD and Chinese versions, this one is most definitely the "go to" pressing for this album. Save your money and instead of spending three figure numbers for a RSD one get yourself a Chinese copy. Even the sleeve quality is better...
