4 out of 5 stars for tape quality and sound. There is a lot of dead tape space because the concert wasn't as long. Side 2 after Folsom Prison is where this happens. The tape is 43 years old and had good sound quality for a cassette. The tape is brown, which matches the quality or expectations of the time. The darker the tape, the better quality.

I firmly agree with the previous review. A great sounding record/pressing worth searching out.

Wonderful pressing. Johnny sounds great, upfront and in your face. Only wished it wasn’t censored.

Censored bleeps meant taking a chance back in the day.
There were a lot of words you couldn't say in public,
as opposed to today.

I usually pick up Quad copies of albums I like if I come across em on the cheap. I don't have Quad playback capability, but they're stereo compatible and can sometimes give you a fresh perspective.

This seemed like an odd choice to get the Quad treatment. But when played Stereo, it is rich and spread *wide*. Worth picking up if you come across it.

I just picked this up in d*** near mint condition on the "two-eye' label. It looks like there is only one side-long track per side.
Is that right that all the songs run into the next?

Hello, I have this, but it seems it's a different edition, Mine has a card case where the usual jewel case is inserted and the disc is a replica of the vinyl. The card case has the picture of the original album and a note saying: The Vinyl Classics

Reel-To-Reel, 3 ¾ ips, ¼", 4-Track Stereo
The reel edition has silence spliced in between the tracks - it kind of interrupts the flow of a live recording.

Emotive performance and nice recording/mastering for a live show in the sixties, specially of voice and guitar: sounds intimate and real as it surely was. I've always loved that they included both performances of 'San Quentin' which portray different emotional reactions/appreciations from inmates each time, IMO the first time is more visceral and the second is more thoughtful.

Too bad for the censor beeps and the mix cutouts of B5 that makes the track stay short as the outro of the whole touching concert.
