Profile:	"Giant", or 巨人唱片, is a label of questionable legality from Taiwan, catering, between others, for US soldiers stationed there. Some sources claim the records were legal in that country but are classed in this database as unofficial. The releases are mostly copies of US or Japanese releases.

I've heard rumours that Giant, Large World and the other similar labels were official Tiawan or Asian release though they had no direct association with the specific labels for authorising these releases. I have a couple of releases which did infact use the legitimate stampers with local inscriptions (Australia did that with heaps of releases till the mid 70s eg Festival records). Most despite the vinyl quality did actually sound comparable to their official counterpart give or take some imperfections or could be very clean pressings.
I'm not saying their fully official releases but that's what I've read over the years.
