Edited 13 hours agoExcellent stereo here, both the full length (“CD mix”) and edited (“Vinyl mix”) sound fantastic and are wonderfully dynamic.
The vinyl mix would appear to be the original 1985 master whereas the CD mix would appear to be the remaster done by Miles Showell in 2021 used to cut the 2021 & 2025 vinyl.
I prefer the CD mix here even though Miles used a subtle amount of compression.
This is the definitive stereo release. -
Edited 6 days agoProbably the only version you'll ever need. It has every mix/version plus the same fantastic mastering from Miles Showell's half speed mastered vinyl.

Bought this for the live album - worth every single penny and more. Already have the Abbey Road remaster and MoFI versions of BIA - with the MoFi being utterly absurdly perfect, so I don’t care about the BIA in this set. Love every second of the live set. -
Wonderful pressing. Clean tracks, dead silent. Love the full dynamic range of this 40th re-issue.

Amazing pressing. I am unsure if I have the replaced disc or not (unlikely but how would I know, bought used on Discogs). If you wanted to wow people with your system, then play them "Why Worry" and go from there. The tiniest bit of S/N but only if you have a great system and have it loud... -

I suggest buying the first CD edition, instead of this one - probably the worst master and wrapped in toilet paper (according to the prevailing fashion) -

It just is.
I do really like my 5.1 which has more bite to the guitar.
But that is true dsd 5.1 or Dvd-a 5.1 (i have both).
But as 2.0 it's solid, love it... -

Isn’t the main album a remixed version? According to the credits Guy Fletcher did it. Or is it a remastered version? I’m a little confused. -

WOW!! This is maybe the quietest vinyl I own! Excellent dynamics, the bass controlled. Very large stage.
This is probably the combination of using master tape with a very good mastering especially for vinyl. -
