This pressing is a demonstration disc for my system. Also the best sounding LP that the Police would ever put out, in my humble opinion. -
Edited 2 years agoThis is the pressing that reveals what a fresh studio master tape of this release sounded like in 1980. The versions stamped with STRAWBERRY are the real finds here. Even, full response, great dynamics and the most solid bass punch of any pressing I've heard. Though the US ElectoSound versions are close, it's really hard to beat this original first run UK/ Strawberry Mastering pressing. -
When mine finally arrived in the mail, I waited until I went over to my brother’s house to play it on his large studio monitor / professional system, and it was so full of life and punchy! Just an amazing sounding pressing. -
Con los años, este se ha convertido en mi disco preferido de The Police. Excelente de principio a fin. -
Probably the worst album by The Police, but still it has masterpieces such as Don't Stand So Close To Me, Driven To Tears, and the psychedelic Behind My Camel. I think they were rushed into recording this, and it can be felt. As for the release, it's crisp and plays just fine, no issues to report. If you're only discovering The Police, this is the last album you need to hear.
