Sound is nice and punchy, essential to every tape collection! Was lucky to score this for 8 bucks at Miyagi Records in Chicago.

The truth is, I have several of the songs on 45 singles...
I prefer the quality and sound of the singles!!
I thought this vinyl would be better, but I was wrong...
Also, the recording volume is super low...
Too bad...

Such a pitty there is so much surface noise between the tracks ! Played it with Ortofon Bronze

this is a great pressing, virtually no surface noise. it is quiet like others have said but i don’t find it to be an issue if i turn it up all the way. definitely an
upgrade from my older pressing!!

After track 1, there is noise in quiet places. It's like a cassette tape. Side B is excellent %12991

Terrible pressing. Lots of background noise, cracks and pops.

Soundwise ok.

I have the Mofi pressing as well, this possibly outshines it..! Warmth, clean and Alison’s voice is magic. Great pressing..!

I'm, playing this at the moment . . .

A strange thing happens on "Too Pieces". I heard it when it first came out, and I still hear it now, even when I forget about it for years and then play it again. It's (silly) and haunting.

At the end of the piece, a sort of electronic snare-drum bit, repeats, and it sounds like ("You're something to me, you know you are, you know you are, you're someting to me" . . . repeated for a long time as a loop"). It's so clear as a sort of vocal mantra, but not a vocal, like a vocoder.

It always makes me wonder whether it is a Vince Clark electronic gimmick / joke. So, cool, but it might just be in my head . . .
