I bought this sealed from a seller in the UK. As opposed to the 2018 remaster on vinyl, it is brighter, especially with S’ sounding vocals.
The inclusion of Situation doesn’t feel out of place, although it’s the commercial 12” version that Vince and alison weren’t fond of at the time.
Overall sound quality is good, i did give it an ultrasonic clean after being sealed for 40 years.
Equipment used: Technics 1400MK2, AT95SH, Sony TA-FB940R, Klipsch speakers -
Edited 17 years agoJust picked this up at a used CD store simply because it deserved better treatment than that! This is a defining album (cd) for its era. Vincent Clarke at his innovative best, and Allison Moyet vocals are the perfect compliment. A staple of any electonica collection.

Edited 18 years agoThis album is a masterful piece of electronic art. The harmony of Moyet's sensual, mysterious vocals coupled with Clarke's spry synth riffs are an absolute delight to the synth-pop enthusiast's eardrum. Don't get me wrong though; this album isn't just for those who enjoy the sound of this era. The subject matter of the songs spans generations of accessibility. There's definitely something for everyone on this LP; so no matter what you're into, this one's worth a listen.
