For consistency, please use 'Illinois' as the title of this release, but please note that the cover art reads "Sufjan Stevens invites you to: Come on feel the ILLINOISE".
Although the title 'Illinois' is not ed by RSG §3.1.2 and RSG §3.1.3 (as several s have pointed out in the sub notes and forum), the alternative is dealing with more than one acceptable title via valid application of RSG §3.1.6 after RSG §3.1.2 and RSG §3.1.3. The resulting title would be "Come On Feel The Illinoise", which is neither the intended title nor full title. The intended title simply cannot be refuted based on legitimate external sources, and is thus the only title which can end debate and create a consensus for this Master Release. This is a relatively unique characteristic of this release.
Also, please note that the track titles vary slightly between the CD and vinyl issues for tracks 9, 11, and 17. Track 23 is a vinyl only bonus track.

Mine sounds a bit dirty, but I don't have professional cleaning machines and I don't know if it would improve in this case. Anyway, it's a nice feeling, wide and dynamic. Warm and precise. -

This is my first AKR pressing. Knowing about all the negative reviews about abysmal QC from many Sufjan LPs, I was a little nervous to bite the bullet on this, but it was $24 at my local record store and couldn’t it up.
Other than slight right channel surface noise during the first couple of minutes of Side D, I’m happy to report that my copy is absolutely flawless. Whoever pressed this took this seriously, because all four sides other than the beginning of Side D are dead silent and super clean *and* they came in poly lined sleeves!! I haven’t heard the Kevin Gray cut, and even though his name isn’t in the deadwax, I would say this still sounds insanely good with phenomenal stereo imaging, sharp separation, and very organic-sounding instrumentation. Up there in the best of my collection. Really made me fall in love with this album once again. Can’t recommend it enough! -

My pressing is really bad ! Clicks and pops non stop especially on the record 2 …the needle kept on skipping…I could not even finish listening to it… I will return it asap. -
This 16-bit 2005 release (Bandcamp, Qobuz, maybe others) sounds amazing, especially for a 16-bit release. Occasionally I get reminded that 16-bits is good enough IF done correctly, this being a good example. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I can't find any faults at all. Excellent! -
Terrible inner sleeves which left marks of paper on the records. They also had PVC offgassing, possibly from the cellophane but I doubt that. Vinyl is a bit noisy but nothing egregious. Great sound quality. A good sounding pressing, although the quality control could be a bit better.

I don't have any other vinyl pressings to compare with, but my copy of this was clean, flat, and almost completely noise free but for a slight bit of surface noise on side 4 at the beginning. A pleasant listening experience of a great Sufjan Stevens album. -
