The Best-Selling Records on Discogs in February 2025

Last month’s best-selling albums include releases by Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and more.
During February 2025 on Discogs, Lover (Live From Paris) held the best-selling spot for the second consecutive month, making it the clear front-runner for the most purchased record of the year so far. Fun fact: The heart-shaped record spiked in sales on the days surrounding Valentine’s Day.
Other standout releases included jazz pop vocalist With Teeth following the announcement of their 2025 world tour.

Lover (Live From Paris)
Taylor Swift
2025
Taylor Swift has once again topped the best-selling chart — no surprise there. After a brief absence from the top of the Discogs sales charts, she reclaimed her spot with a reissue of her 2023 release, Lover (Live From Paris). This edition features two heart-shaped records — one pink and yellow, the other pink and blue — setting it apart from the original, which included standard pink and blue vinyl.
Fans had 72 hours to preorder the reissue through Swift’s website, starting Jan. 7, or until supplies ran out. After shipments went out, those who missed the initial release turned to Discogs to secure a copy. The album has led Discogs’ best-seller list every week since its drop and is only now showing signs of slowing.

GNX
Kendrick Lamar
2025
GNX, until two days before his Super Bowl LIX performance on Feb. 9. With all eyes on Lamar, the records were ready to go. Following the halftime show, GNX sales spiked for several days. Since then, the album has sold steadily, ranking just behind Taylor Swift among the month’s best-selling releases. Had Lamar dropped the record on or before Feb. 1, he likely would have been neck-and-neck with Swift for the top spot.

Falling Into Infinity. Since then, each has been a top seller, breathing new life into these decades-old albums.
However, none have matched the success of the Images And Words reissue, which continues to dominate sales and reaffirm its status as the band’s most beloved sophomore release.

Diamond Jubilee
2025
This one was a long time coming. When Diamond Jubilee in March 2024, fans were surprised to find it unavailable on streaming platforms. Instead, the sprawling two-hour indie pop record was accessible only on Bandcamp and Geocities.
Despite this, Diamond Jubilee earned critical acclaim, securing a Pitchfork Best New Music nod and landing on several year-end Best Of lists, including Discogs’ Greatest Hits campaign.
After nearly a year of waiting, fans finally got their hands on the vinyl release on Feb. 21. Even with just a week to rack up sales, the record easily became the fourth best-selling album of the month. Sometimes, the unconventional route pays off.

Cat
Hiroshi Suzuki
2021
Trombonist Essential Japanese Jazz article in October.
Since then, sales have surged, making Cat a frequent best-seller. Before February, however, it typically ranked outside the top 10. A spike in early 2025 pushed sales even higher, peaking in mid-February and finally securing a spot in the top five.
