I've always struggled with this album, but it does contain one of the most overlooked and underrated pieces of music that Gabriel has ever done. Namely, "Washing Of The Water". I've loved this track from the moment I heard it. It showcases just what a fine voice Gabriel has, especially at this juncture. His whole range is on this track, and it is achingly beautiful, poignant and sad; perfectly summing up the relationship battles he was having while making the album. Just a fantastic song.
Regarding the pressing, it's interesting that someone has mentioned sibilance, as I too have noticed it on not only this LP, but other Gabriel vinyl pressings too. It certainly does challenge setups of turntables that's for sure. So, I can't give it top marks for fidelity, but his voice especially is beautifully encapsulated (apart from the aforementioned sibilance). -

Bought new. A 2mm, audible "leaf-like" object is pressed on C02. Non-audible mark through most of B01. Overall the sound is quite muddy and mediocre. 3/5 -

Amazing sound, just perfect. Very good bass presence and great soundstage with an incredible sounding Peter Gabriel. Deluxe gatefold edition. What more could you ask for? High resolution digital included, because it has it. -

I own this pressing, don't like how it sounds. Despite the double LP, it sounds a bit compressed, probably due to an inaccurate production.
Anyway, still remains a great album. -
I just listend again to this album. My pressing ist very good. Dead quiet, good dynamic, all fine -

Fine sounding reissue. I like the loud sound. sometimes too overdriven, especially in come talk to me...
