Edited 4 years agoIt's not necessary to do an in-depth review of this masterpiece anymore. You have these "Top 1000 albums you need to listen to die" rankings, well, "Endtroducing....." is undoubtedly one of them. At least for any electronic music and/or hip-hop enthusiast.
The organs of "Organ Donor", the pianos of "Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt" and "Midnight In A Perfect World", the violin of "Stem/Long Stem"... it is a challenge to not feel any emotion when these tracks are played.
Now I understand why Pretty Lights said Joshua Davis was influential for him when he began producing music.
Thank you Mr Davis for this LP that is more than a sublime sample collage : it's a real musical journey that reaches eargasm.
I also recommend his first album "Psyence Fiction" that he made with James Lavelle under the "U.N.K.L.E." moniker.
There are similar dark, industrial vibes from tunes like "The Number Song" that are heard in U.N.K.L.E.'s productions like "Unreal" and "Bloodstain".
