The splatter is a bit minimal on both discs but they still look good. People are just complaining because they didn't look like the ment. More importantly, there is definitely distortion on sides C&D. This is prevalent in Let You Down and Proudest Monkey on the other side, which is quite disappointing considering the how cool Monkey sounds on vinyl. By contrast, I have found the black vinyl to be dead quiet. Outside of the distortion, the actual sound quality between the black and splatter are exactly the same. If you have good equipment, you will likely pick up the distortion on the splatter.

Splatter for me is pretty good, looks cool while spinning. There's a lot of fuzz on side 1 first song and a handful of skips on the second song. Everything else seems to be high quality and sounds good. #41, the percussion particularly, sounds amazing.

Side C and D are almost unplayable, sounded like (static) poop. Returned mine to Amazon and got the other version (black records) from my local music store.

I received my copy today and yeah the splatter on disc 1 is pretty minimal (way different to d) - my disc 2 is red - not sure if they all are? I was expecting them both to be white with splatter. As far as sound quality goes I'm happy with how mine sounds. Disc 1 sounds great, disc 2 has very quiet distortion (you need to be listening for it to notice) on 'Let you down' and the run out of side C other than that it sounds great too.

Anyone interested in the sound quality of the release? I've seen several pressing issues reported, particularly sides C and D. So not only is it generally substandard and over-priced compared to the 180 gram black audiophile vrs (which I've seen no complaints about, quite the opposite), but perhaps one record is unplayable. But it looks cool I guess and I'm sure it's fine on a crosley or perhaps a dj table. Perhaps this is why amazon pulled the listing rather than stating "out of stock"

It looks pretty light in the splatter department. It is more smudgey in spots. Haven't listened yet, so I am hoping the press is good.
