Not saying anything new here but pressing sounds top tier, and for the price it’s quite the deal. Amazing album
-
One of the best records of the 80’s period. MJ was at the top of his game both, vocally and musically. You simply can’t deny it. Happy to have this on vinyl knowing it was recorded and mixed digitally, it still has a dynamic to it. My pressing sounds very good. Highly recommended!

Edited 9 months agoSounds great to me. Was cheap and has great sound. Mix on the title track is a bit weird, pushing the vocals back in favor of the instrumental, however it isn't that.... Bad.

The parfect album, Quincy Jones + Michaël Jackson = the perfect duet.
Production on top, shap cut of sound just perfect, etc... -
Personally, one of the cleanest sounding records I own. The quality is way better than I expected, quickly replaced the inner sleeves which unfortunately are similar to other MJ Vinyl pressings and can leave scuff marks.
Content wise, what can I say, one of MJ’s best! -
(Disclaimer, keep in mind that this is just MY review of MY personal copy of this pressing)
Good, but far from perfect. A side sounds quite good until Liberian Girl where some vocal distortion can be heard, and the problem gets even worse on Just Good Friends (some listeners may not notice, but to me it is a big deal). Side B is overall better, but with similar problems. There is certainly some vocal distortion on Dirty Diana, but that is minor compared to the issues with side A. Unfortunately, one of the album's most iconic tracks (the closer on this pressing) Smooth Criminal might just sound the most distorted.
Just my 2 cents! -
Edited 4 years agoGot this one instead the 180g LP from EU (2016).. Got the same barcode..Haven't opened it yet. Want the 180gram..
Printed inner sleeve? What about the differnce to the 180gram issue? Good sound? Thanks
Opened it but I'm not suire.. It's maybe 140gram or so..Rest like the original..Just want to know if the 180gram is better..

Edited 9 months agoDoes anyone know if this is as dynamic as the original? Or is this using the 25 masters?
