Now 6 was released in November 1985, shortly after the first 'Now Christmas' album.
Record 1 Side 1
1. Queen - One Vision: Queen's first post-Live Aid single. Great song.
2. Nik Kershaw - When a Heart Beats: Another great song from Nik.
3. Feargal Sharkey - A Good Heart: Another 'heart' song. Great song from Feargal.
4. Eurythmics - There Must Be an Angel (Playing With My Heart): Yet another 'heart' song; another great song from Annie and Dave, with harmonica from Stevie Wonder.
5. Simple Minds - Alive and Kicking: Great song, will talk more about it later on as it reappears on another Now!
6. Bryan Adams & Tina Turner - It's Only Love: Great duet, not included on the 2020 CD release.
7. Gary Moore - Empty Rooms: Another great song from Gary.
8. Marillion - Lavender: Great follow up to 'Kayleigh'.
Record 1 Side 2
1. Elton John - Nikita: Another great song from Elton.
2. Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill: Great song, re-entered the chart last year following its use in 'Stranger Things'.
3. Level 42 - Something About You: Another great song.
4. Tina Turner - We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome): My sister had the 'Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome' soundtrack. Great song.
5. UB40 - Please Don't Break My Heart: Great song; I think it should have been put next to the other 'heart' songs.
6. Phil Collins & Marilyn Martyn - Separate Lives: Pretty duet.
7. Cliff Richard - She's So Beautiful: Great song from Dave Clark's Time.
Record 2 Side 1
1. Arcadia - Election Day: Great song from Simon, Nick and Roger of Duran Duran.
2. UB40 (Guest vocals: Chrissie Hynde): Great duet and cover of Sonny and Cher.
3. Fine Young Cannibals - Blue: Great follow up to 'Johnny Come Home'.
4. Midge Ure - If I Was: Great song from the Slik and Ultravox singer.
5. Siouxsie and the Banshees - Cities In Dust: Not my favourite song from Siouxsie, but still like it.
6. Madness - Uncle Sam: Another great song from Suggs and co.
7. Lloyd Cole and the Commotions - Lost Weekend: Very catchy.
8. The Communards - You Are My World: Great debut from Jimmy Somerville's post-Bronski Beat band.
Record 2 Side 2
1. Paul Hardcastle - Just For Money: Great follow up to '19'.
2. Jan Hammer - Miami Vice Theme: Great TV theme.
3. Maria Vidal - Body Rock: Catchy song.
4. Baltimora - Tarzan Boy: Great chorus.
5. Mai Tai - Body and Soul: Great follow up to 'History'.
6. Cameo - Single Life: Great song.
7. Jaki Graham & David Grant - Mated: Prefer their cover of 'Could It Be I'm Falling In Love', but still think this a good duet.
Another great Now, but yet again there are some songs that missed out:
Jennifer Rush - The Power of Love: Great power ballad.
Dead or Alive - My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me to the Doctor)
A-Ha - Take on Me: Iconic song.
Dire Straits - Money For Nothing: Another great song from 'Brothers In Arms'.
Stevie Wonder - Part Time Lover: He appears on Eurythmics and Cliff's songs, so why not put his own hit on there.
David Bowie & Mick Jagger - Dancing in the Street: Great duet.
Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
Iron Maiden - Running Free (Live)
The Style Council - The Lodgers
Red Box - Lean on Me (Ah-Li-Ayo): Great cover of Bill Withers.
Bonnie Tyler - Holding Out For a Hero: Great song from 'Footloose'. -
Coming out on double CD for the first time on July 24 2020 - it will be interesting to see how many of the wrong mixes are used for this set!
