If anyone is curious, I've decoded the Lanquidity HDCD, and it is one of the "useless" HDCDs - it uses zero HDCD features (no peak extension, nothing) - so the undecoded HDCD data and the decoded HDCD data are exactly the same, and there is no benefit to owning the HDCD.
