Edited 3 years agoOne word: masterpiece!
This is the soundtrack of my life, I was 19 when i've found the cassette at a local record store, from the first notes of "Taking The Veil" I was blown away, this album transports you in a different state, Sylvian's voice, the keyboards, the flugelhorn and Fripp's guitar are dreamlike soundscapes, they draw you in and you're listening with devotion, almost like under hypnosis, raptured.
I can't cherry pick a standout track out of this majestic double record, this is that rare album that works magnificently as a whole, an enormous wave of emotions...if memories and nostalgia could be described with music they would sound like this.
