Got a sealed copy this past weekend. Clean mint copy first play sounded great. Way better than the modern ones coming out. Until I score an OG one this is my player when I want to listen to Nevermind.

What's the insert mentioned in the notes? I bought mine used and didn't get one.
I think this sounds pretty good but I haven't compared it to other pressings. I wouldn't categorize it as lifeless like an earlier reviewer—it feels very dynamic. -
Sounds perfect to me, quiet, dynamic, punchy. Artwork is okay, front cover could be sharper and brighter. So overall a good pressing.

I have done a back to back comparison of this press with recent Pallas reissue (BG) and it stands up pretty well. Perhaps some parts where the Pallas pressing is superior but tbh this one sounds pretty great.

I own this and would love to get the current median sale price of $40 some day but frankly this pressing sounds absolutely lifeless and I’d feel guilty getting half that for it. I don’t believe anything is wrong with my copy. It’s an extremely thin sound. I like this album a lot, but the few times I have played this over the years I’m always disappointed and I usually put it back well before the first half of side1 is finished. I often think of this record after an equipment upgrade: “maybe my Nirvana record will sound good now!” Nope. It never sounds any better. Finally threw in the towel and ordered the recent Pallas reissue. Even if it’s not the best it can’t be worse than this one. Simply vinyl, simply garbage!
