I rarely review things that mean a lot to me, but this has got to be one of the best records of the 90s, one of the best records post wwii, of the whole 20th century! Truly a timeless sound from the youth of the Pacific Northwest in the 90s. I believe they were all still teenagers at the time of this recording.

This album meant a lot to me as a young person, and listening now I can feel just like I did when I was 12-14yo. Angry, confused, and emotional. Modest Mouse helped save my life. More people should know this record. It's strange to me that in 2024, there has only been one reissue and there are still ample copies. Not everything special is hard to find.

Here's to hopefully many more people falling in love with Interstate 8 in the years to come.

A bit of surface noise, nothing too major. Good sound overall. Side B live recording is pretty good considering the equipment it was probably recorded on as mentioned in a comment below.

Insanely good sound quality, especially for a decade+ old live performance that surely was recorded on subpar equipment. The album is fantastic as well, I had all of these songs on other records already, but it was worth the money just for the live recording. No complaints here!

After years of fast-forwarding through the awkward silence between the 5 main tracks and the 6-song demo featured on this previously CD-only EP, I am stoked to have this album split amongst two sides of vinyl. Both parts of Interstate 8 holds its own and I find myself replaying each side multiple times before flipping it. This new format makes for just such an enjoyable listening experience, I hardly care that the record label on Side A of my copy is jacked up.
