As a Prodigy fan of the first hour I was looking forward to this album. 'Invaders Must Die' was a masterpiece, after 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned' was a bit disappointing.
The first tracks I heard ('The Day Is My Enemy', 'Nasty, Nasty', 'Wild Frontier' and 'Wall Of Death') created high expectations, but the whole album didn't completely live up to that. These tracks, along with 'Ibiza', 'Roadblox' and 'Rebel Radio' are the best tracks of the album. The rest is in my opinion, full of energy and aggression, but (how paradoxical it may sound) still a little dull.
What remains is a somewhat double feeling: not a bad album, but certainly not their best. The tracks they played live on April 10 in the Heineken Music Hall (Amsterdam) do sound like they should at a concert by The Prodigy: energetic, furious and thrilling. Although they're not as innovative as their first three albums, they're still relevant as a dance act after 20 years. I can't think of any other group that has achieved that status.
