I have all five Police studio albums and this is easily the best pressing out of all the ones I have. Every song just jumps out of the speakers and dares you to play it even louder. Grab a copy when you can.

Picked up a VG+ first pressing of this on the purple translucent vinyl - what a great sounding record! The percussion just jumps out of the speakers, lots of soundstage depth as well. This one’s a keeper for sure.

Recently found a mint copy of this pressing, and oh my is it fantastic sounding..amazing transient detail and deep textured bass, no surface noise at all and perfectly flat..kudos to whoever took such good care of this copy, it's hard to imagine this album sounding any better

Something so uniquely punchy about this album. Love the sound. Find myself spinning the B side just to feel that intense percussion some days.

          Recommended for sure

I have to disagree with the raving reviews of the first US pressing. To me, it sounds dull with rolled off highs. I've compared it to the 2019 vinyl version (14381041) and to the SACD. Though it beats the SACD in of clarity, details and dynamics, both are easily trumped by the 2019 vinyl.

Just played this translucent purple 1st US copy. Hadn't played it in decaces and not played more than a dozen times. You cannot go wrong with the BRY - SP-3735. I have first US release of GITM and it is a great listen, too.

Either I am lucky or this release is bright and punchy. One of my very finest LP's.

Not sure if this one received few plays or this was produced at a high quality? either way happy to have it...this is one lp I can easily state sounds better than most CD's. :-)

Why overprice one of the biggest selling albums? There's prolly 5-10 copies for every collector.

Man, we really need to clean up this entry for US releases. Maybe something like BRYpurple BRYgrey BRYblack and list the variants from there, defined by the matrix runout. The way it is now is really unweildy.
