I played this to my wife and she said, "Is this David Bowie singing"??? Personally I don't believe there can be a greater accolade bestowed on an artiste. This is quality house music, top production, top mixing, top writing and singing.

Edited 5 years agoOne of the most important Chicago house records that started the fire. Jamie had a huge influence on the development of Chicago house music. I still get goosebumps hearing this.

Edited 3 years ago'Waiting On My Angel' is Jamie's best track, in my opinion, although 'Your Love' comes a very close second (if not t first!).
BTW, for some great history into this track and other Jamie Principle highlights, be sure to check this feature: http://www.theransomnote.com/music/house-hunting/house-hunting-67-jamie-principle/
Props & respect to Aiden. -
Edited 8 years agoYep this is a great cut! The voice reminds me of "Bowie" & has some stellar added electro/house elements. Very dance-able!

Edited 19 years agoJamie Principle's first commercial record. VERY influential at the time. The track was played from tapes and reels before it was released in '85. After this record house producers started to expand their production horizons to more that just beat tracks. This record has some influences from early italo disco, but it also has a deeper side to it, making it sound totally unique and refreshing, like House was back then.
