I find it quite disappointing that the dowload code expired only 2 years after the release of the album... I bought mine new a few years back & wanted to redeem it digitally but no...
Either way, good pressing. -
I have the variant 2 of Eu pressing ,no problem here absolutly beautiful amazing sound on this one,can really recommend this -
I have the 1st variation EU pressing, my copy sounds pretty good, maybe its the US press that has issues?

Mine sounds absolutely perfect. The best sounding new LP in my collection. Tiny pops and crackling sounds but I believe they will disappear with a wash. This album as an LP became my favourite Opeth record.

I'd have to agree with Nilo82, I had no idea there's two separate variations of this pressing. Luckily, I own the second variation, and I'd have to agree it does sound absolutely phenomenal. 5/5 -
Edited 8 years agoSince this album seems to have sound issues with many pressings: got the version with the 2nd Matrix variation; sounds stellar.
