If not for the sibilance in Jon Andersons vocals, this would be an 11 on a 10 scale. Great pressing. Vocals are a bit bright at times. But I still love this LP. Get this!

Perhaps in the shadow of 90125 this album was never given due credit. It is one of my favorite albums in general and my friends made fun of me for it at the time. I think I bought it on release because they talked about experiencing psychedelics so they could 'see' and I was in the same frame of mind in the 80s. I discovered the rest of the record was really stunning especially Shoot High Aim Low & I'm Running. I still get chills listening to Shoot High like today. It just captures a feeling I had as a teenager in the 80s.

The production, mastering, and pressing are so incredible. This is easily one of the best vinyl pressings I own. The DMM really gives the production some incredible clarity. So glad I bought this back then and have it still now.

This album gets slagged off by a lot of Yes fans. Not sure why, about the only thing I would say are negative are some of the 80's keys. This pressing of the album is phenomenal. Blows away any of the digital versions I have heard. Alan's drum hits are crisp, precise and thick...maybe some of the best recordings of his drums, period. Trevor's guitars are very well recorded too, as are Jon's vocals. And Chris's Rickenbacker slices through heavy and thick. Highlight tracks are *not* the singles..."Shoot High", "Final Eyes", "I'm Running" and "Song for Harmonic Convergence" make this album. The mastering is a little uneven between songs, but if you can turn it up, you won't notice. Not as compressed as the digital versions, which makes for a wonderful listen. This is a very nice dynamic recording and the pressing is wonderful. I think I had about 10 small clicks throughout, never obtrusive. After having not listened to this vinyl except maybe once or twice & to record it to cassette back when I bought it new, I was simply stunned at how much better this LP sounds than either of the CD versions I have.
