I have a STEREO promo of this LP. The stereo cover has the timing strip and "Promotion Not for Sale" stamped on the back. The LP is very early press:
Side 1: o XSM 118887 - 1A B2
Side 2: o XSM 118888 - 1A A1
You'll notice on *this* listing that the timing strip has "KCS 9529" (which is the Stereo version). The mono is "KCL 2729".
Apparently, the promos used stereo covers, thus the special sticker on the front cover of this listing indicating it's a "Special Mono Stereo Copy."
I'm considering adding this stereo promo to Discogs, as I don't see it listed. -
Edited one year agoCopy I have has 1A etched on both sides and a T (Terre Haute pressing) stamped on both sides. Sounds quite good.

Promo mono copies have slightly better sound quality than stock monos. Promos have A1 written in dead wax on side 2, A2 written on Side 1. Stock copies have A3 in dead wax, both sides, likely indicating promo copies use the earliest lacquers or stampers, hence the better sound.
