It's been a quite a while since I listened to PIPES OF PEACE. Time's been kind to it. "Average Person" is one of the more underrated songs in the Macca catalogue. Kinda like an Uncle Albert/iral Halsey for the 80's. I still have a hard time stomaching the last song of each side, but even "So Bad" isn't so bad now that I've learned his falsetto vocal was an homage to Smokey Robinson. No complaints with how this pressing sounds, there's plenty of low end, clean crisp highs, and a clear, detailed, cinematic soundstage. My copy plays quite clean and quiet, with no surface noise of note.

Such a under appreciated album. Almost every song on this album is a hit in my book but I think the artwork kind of throws people off of it.
