Notes
""Future Now" was Pleasure's penultimate LP for Fantasy Reocrds. The band experimented with a new sci-fi influenced funk sound and the result culminated in their biggest US hit, 'Glide'."

Edited one year agoI own 4 of the BGP Pleasure CD re-issues, and while they sound good on the surface, they all have been given the brick-walling mastering treatment which has become so commonplace these days. The dynamic range has been compromised in order to boost the overall loudness. Better to stick with the original FANTASY issued cd's for the titles they actually did, or with the OG vinyl pressings. (or the recent Jazz Dispensary vinyl re-issues)

It's nice to finally have this great album on cd, but the mastering is a bit disappointing. Typical industry practices such as brick walling and over-compression are present, as well as an over-boosted low end.
