A guilty pleasure for sure for me but its a rather overly saccharine album that doesnt do the group any real justice. I truly think this incarnation of the band squandered so much potential with these middle albums because there is something to love here and tracks like Echoes and The Sleeper show a very competent prog group instrumentally. Summer Lightning is probably the highlight track here for me as it does a great job curbing the more cheesy excesses of the whole album with some solid flow and chord progression. In an alternate universe I truly think this would have been one of their best albums but as it stands its a rather bland trend following release save a few great standouts.

Album slightly spoilt by the whimsey of Richard Sinclair's Down on the Farm but the rest is sublime. Summer Lightening must be one of the best rock-disco tracks ever and amazing guitar solo is the icing on the top.
