Edited 2 months agoThis was a great album this, but quite a sad one. Esp since this was the last ABBA album for a long time.
There is also quite arguements nowadays about digital recording masters compared to analog recording masters. This was one of the very first albums to be recorded digitally, instead of on analog tape. A lot of albums (at least nowadays) are most likely recorded digitally since it's cheaper. People might argue that you ain't gonna get the sound with a digital recording, compared to analog. I do surely disagree with that as I have many digitally recorded albums on vinyl and they sound outstanding. Analog might sound slightly better, though digital master is fine. You just need to use the original recording of it, not a compressed copy of it. Of course I do prefer when it's analog recording as that's what vinyl is pretty much known for. Though ain't always like that. Only time you may not want the digital master is if it's originally been recording on analog and then transferred to a digital master. Other than that, it's fine.
This album sounds fantastic as well, esp on vinyl. I've listened to both streaming/flac and vinyl to compare. Vinyl version is a 100% times better than the streaming/flac versions. -
