I have an extra four original postcards that came with this UK pressing, all in excellent shape. I will be posting them soon in my Discogs store. -
Just grabbed a copy of this. My eyes nearly popped out of my head it sounds that good! Surely the pressing to get…I’d have a hard time believing there is a better cut of this.

Classic Album, Some really great new wave pop songs here. Costello clearly demonstrates his mastery of the 3 minute radio ready song. Songs from this album always sound great on the radio. We must not forget the Attractions, quality musicians all, -
The music is dope of course but the sleeve is even better. On the recto : the crazy picture of the elephants parade. And on the verso : a brillant art-work made by the french collective Bazooka.

One of Costello's best albums, as Elvis shows here his is incredible talent at rewriting sixties' pop songs and making them his own. "Goon Squad", "Accidents Will Happen", "Oliver's Army", "Chemistry Class" and "Busy Bodies" are wonderful pop songs. Elvis shows true knowledge of sixties' pop, and reinvents his own greatest hits. The only time I could 'catch' him was his song "You Belong to Me" (not on this album), which bears too much similarity to the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time". Otherwise, Elvis throws his own mentality onto pop music and becomes a certified original.
