yeah, I'm liking this a lot. Lively, quick, highs sparkle, great clarity, and near noise-free vinyl. Just beautiful. Found this in my local secondhand record shop in NM condition. Couldn't be happier.

Magic sound. Absolutely fantastic. Much better than in the original year. Clear, deep scene, punch, bass. All those base words in action))

Flat, quiet vinyl. Beautiful gatefold. Photos inside are great; artwork on the front and rear covers looks faded and washed-out.

This album was not recorded very well to start with. I have always listened on CD, and this blows the CD out of the water. I hear details I never noticed before in several decades of listening. This is not demo quality audiophile sound. This record is never going to provide that experience. One of the chief problems is how Morrison's vocals were recorded. However, I hear a wide soundstage, good separation of instruments, and more clarity than on my CD.

I want to say something about the 2x45 rpm format. I love this format. I am a busy person with work, family, etc and I seldom get to sit down and do 45 minute or 60 minute listening sessions. I enjoy listening to an album like this one LP side at a time.

I love this album and I am very happy with this pressing. For me, it is well worth $60. Buy now or cry later, etc.

Strange... The high frequency seems too bright on my system. Almost agressive.

The DCC copy of this album absolutely blows this out of the water, IMO. This AP release has some weird thing going on with the high end that can get fatiguing at times, and also lacks the bass and punch of the DCC. Then there's also the fact that each side is 7 minutes...

For some reason, this and HOTEL suddenly sound so crystal clear to me on my system. They’re just outstanding reissues. Ive never heard the OGs, but can’t imagine them sounding too much better. Doors were one of a kind.

I just got this and played it today. My hearing and my system are just good enough. I thought it was very nice but whatever some of the others hear I must not hear. I never really know what I am trying to listen for. I can't say if this is too bright or too booming. To me this record sounded real nice on my standard system. The records were quiet and flat. Funny thing when I put it on I did not switch to 45 RPM and when the albums starts I was like I don't it sounding like this and when Jim starts singing I was dah!! :-)

While I am a huge fan of the mono pressing, this one is probably the superior. Of course you have to own both, and they each contain their individual qualities that make them enjoyable. While hard to choose a favorite Doors album, for me this might be it. Hopefully AP can pick another artist to do a similar series with. Bowie? Floyd?
