I have 3 editions. OG 1980 GB pressing, Back to black 2008 and unfortunately I bought the 2019 remaster because I wanted to have a new copy without crackles and noise. I like this album. Ranking 2019 compressed, no dynamics, cut drum cymbals. Waste of money. 2008 almost approx. 90% OG. Weaker drum cymbals but not much. Overall ok. I wonder how it is. We pay a lot of money for worse and worse reissues. Compressed, no dynamics. They are not even close to OG (if someone has them and can compare). The same with Reggatta de Blanc. I have 1977, 2008 and 2019. The same.It ss NOT OK!!!

Sounds fantastic to my ears. The rhythm section really shines on this pressing.

Disappointed at first but after a wet clean it's come alive. Sounds pretty good.

Sounds amazingly good. My copy is very quiet and the pressing is prefectly flat. Found in a flea market so super happy with it!

Vinyl is a bit noisy but nice cut with good soundstage. Surprise for a portuguese pressing

Not a good press at all.... the sound is totally off and totally dead. Honestly its like ive got a canal blockage in both ears. The press itself is warped and slightly audibly off centre to boot.

I will be promptly returning it

Side one is great, side two limps to the finish, but even the instrumentals are enjoyable filler. This 1981 Monarch pressing sounds fine, drums and bass have plenty of oomph in the low end, guitars and vocals are crisp and clear, the soundstage is vibrant and atmospheric. My copy has a skip on A1, otherwise it plays nice and clean with occasional faint surface noise.

This pressing is a demonstration disc for my system. Also the best sounding LP that the Police would ever put out, in my humble opinion.

VG piece I own sounds metallic and flat. Tons of pops on a clean vinyl. Not helping me having faith in Indian pressings. Better to stick to Euro/Jap/US pressings.
