Love this album a lot. It's one of so many classic Lanegan solo efforts that are deep, moody, atmospheric, raw, honest and soulful. This particular pressing sounds very good to me and in comparison to the CD, which I also have, this LP shines. None more so than on "Tiny Grain of Sand", which explodes and is full of life on the record and has sounds that I barely hear on the cd. Pressing is very good and very quiet, which is important on this album.
I will say that despite buying a sealed copy I did have to return my 1st copy due to a scratch at the start of "Leviathan", which caused a very loud pop for about 30 seconds and on many turntables it may have skipped. Fearing it was a pressing error when I returned it (thankfully I found it at a local brick & mortar) I opened another copy and was relieved to see that the 2nd copy was all good and the exchange was made.
Amazing record by a phenomenal and sorely missed artist. -
