Absolute must have early 1990's tune! Officially released late 1989 UK and pressed on Tommy Boy for US market.
It's full of nostalgia for me and a perfect electronic masterpiece. Check out the '10 tracks the club built: How the Hacienda inspired an era of dance music' This is one of those tracks!

This is one of those records where I'm blown away it doesn't sell for more. One of the greatest electronic 12"s of all time without a shadow of doubt. There's really no bad mix of this track anywhere, but the Strauss remixes are things of beauty.

This single has three versions of Justin Strauss, an american house producer and DJ. His best version lied on the groovy '0101', with more evident breakbeat base than the original 'Pacific State', absolutely dancefloor. 808 State made another magnificent version for the classic, the long version '909', clearly in a deeper mood, with changed textures, synths, saxophone sounds and with a slower motion of the track. The New York producers Frankie Bones & Tommy Musto did another one, '718', with their typical Brooklyn broken house beats base & sliced synth textures.
