This is strange. A non-anniversary year produces a vinyl record that otherwise would have never seen the light of day. I begged for this revival on vinyl many years ago. Why now? I want to say thanks, I really do, but it's just a slap in the face. My CD and digital versions of this album sound way better. The mastering rendered here is very muddy and constricted, with vocals strained to the point of producing sibilance and all resonant tones are completely lost. Warped records usually play fine, they just look odd when they spin. The pressing seems to play clean.
These remastered editions have become a bit fascist; dictating how we hear our own music. And now I wonder where all the experts have gone, or where any ion is currently being displayed.
You can tell upon listening that the person who remastered this album is not a fan of the music. Or else this vinyl would soar. The saving grace here is the large album artwork with a gatefold and of course, who doesn't appreciate the protective poly-lined inner sleeves. -
Still a few copies here for those looking to get one: https://www.pop-music.ca/better-than-ezra-how-does-your-garden-grow-vinyl.html

It is quiet in between tracks and flat but it doesn't sound like it was mastered for vinyl. It's giving mp3 pressed to vinyl vibes. Maybe 2.5/5?

Clear and no noise, solid pressing. Glad I picked this up. If you’re a fan of BTE, and you do not have this on vinyl yet, I recommend this

Edited one month agoThis record sounds great and I’m happy to finally own this fantastic album. As great as it is, there are a few issues: lacking the transition from Particle into Beautiful Mistake, the transition from Beautiful Mistake into Everything on 2’s due to the track placement, and most notably missing is the interlude between Happy Day MãMã and Pull. Other than those issues, the vinyl mastering does this album justice.

Such a good pressing, sound quality is phenomenal! Crisp and clear through softer areas of the songs. Happy camper to have grabbed this for it's first pressing on vinyl : )

Wow, this is a very good sounding vinyl pressing. Mine is dead quiet in between tracks. Side B on mine has a slight warp but not terrible. This record really comes to life on vinyl with this mastering/mix. I feel like I’m hearing more vs the CD
