Edited 2 years agoA good 12" to have, and yes one of the classics but it's one of those that's been played out. It's on all the compilations it's everywhere it's on an advert there were loads of copies made, it will probably be re released again at some point. For oldskool standards it's not a rare choon and it's not £20 (no matter what price you put it on here for)

Edited 2 years agoOh yes what a hardcore anthem !
It maybe on the lighter side of things but the breaks pack plenty of energy, along with the scratching, big funky bassline, fantastic vocals, but the piano riff is on another level and is what makes "Far Out".

Edited 7 years ago26 years later this record is as brilliant as the day it was released, without doubt one of the best tracks in the rave scene. In 2018 it gets its recognition and has now been used in a tv advert, i'm sure Austin & Danny Breaks are delighted. Suzuki 2018 – the brand-new dodgem cars ‘Enjoy The Ride’ YouTube and TV ad.

Edited 20 years agoDuring the famous Woodstock concert in the 60s a woman gave birth to a child. This birth was announced to the audience by some one on the stage with the words:
"THAT KID'S GONNA BE FAR OUT!"
Most importantly this very vocal sample was used in one of the great rave tunes of all time.
Tune!
(And if you sit through the Woodstock video you'll hear the sample!)

Ultimate bangin' piano, hands in the air stuff. I was at the first tribal gathering on Salisbury Plain, when Danny Breaks (doing a PA) hit the keys for the intro - the place went nuts! No record better encapsulates jungle / piano / hardcore heaven than this 12". Not only does it have euphoric piano, the beat is guaranteed to get you dancing. Just when you though it couldn't get any more rushy (yes, we've all been there), Sonz then released the Further Out mix - more synth, more hands in the air, more hugging, more rushing. One of my most treasured 12"'ers.

Timeless classic. If you like the old skool pianos and breaks then you will love this. One for the collection.
