Apparently there are new pressings of this record. Can someone explain to me why these are not listed as "Reissue"/"Repress". I mean, they can't have been pressed by Rainbo, can they...? As far as I can , there was a separate entry for these newer pressings, but eventually the entry was merged back in with this release. Seems odd considering Rainbo closed a few years ago and the newest vinyl must have been pressed somewhere else. Is there anyone here who might be able to the matrix/runout info on the (supposedly) newer pressings? That would be great, thanks!

Sound quality is good and it comes with a cool insert, but the sleeve seems really flimsy and could bend easily

Great to find that out now..... Wish sites that deal with vinyl imports in my country (aka raru.co.za.....) would be a bit more open with their sources. Don't want to risk discogs marketplace as shipping fees get outlandish. No idea if I have the original pressing or this rerelease now. Either way, I'm very glad with the record, one of my favorite OPN albums by far.

My copy came with a sticker on the cover. Anybody else?

My copy sounds pretty great. Very minimal noise and has a pretty good dynamics, especially considering how cheap this record was ($20 total from Mexican Summer). It’s possible that some of the early pressings were not great.

I agree, lots of surface noise but the loud mastering makes it matter less

This isn't a bad sounding record, especially when compared to OPN's Rift reissues, but there is a very remarkable amount of distortion on "Replica" (and also near the end of ""). Compare the piano sounds in the mid-high range between this and any digital version; much of the piano as well as some of the higher-range synths are very, very distorted.

There is also a surface noise on the whole disc but it sounds loudly-mastered so they're not as distracting as some of the more ambient Rifts releases.
Does anyone outside of myself and a commenter in the Replica ‎(LP, Album, Ltd, Num, Whi) release notice this?

Overall, if this is pressing-wide (which I'm pretty sure it is), its disappointing that this was approved to sell to thousands of people, but the album itself is good enough so that I'll still listen to it. If you can get it for under $15 its probably worth it (though it will sound better in a lossless format).

4.5 stars for the album, 2 for the pressing, round down and ave. out to 3.

Excellent vinyl pressing, had no issues whatsoever with it. Fantastic album on the side as well.
