I'm going to wager it's my copy, but does anyone else experience a few moments of disjuncture on "Theme" where the track jumps slightly forward in the song? It's as if a millisecond of the track was omitted. There's no audible skip of the needle when this happens. I don't note it on the digital or the reissue vinyl.

I absolutely agree with the praise heaped upon this album--and this pressing in particular--by other Discogs s. The music is groundbreaking, and the sound quality is superb. One caveat, though. Lydon's vocals on the fist-pumper "Public Image" sound muffled/veiled to me. Is this how other people's copies of this first pressing sound? Or is this just a flaw in my copy?

Everything about this submission is my copy EXCEPT the runouts. There are no submissions with my runouts, or showing the large twice folded Virgin marketing poster included in mine. Does mine need it's own submission?

Edited 4 years agoWhat a shame this never got to even have a legitimate chance in the United States back when it first came out because this record shook the rest of the world and it would've shook the states as well.

This album affects me like very few have. It is brilliant groundbreaking music. Think what you will of Lydon but with when he hooked up with Wobble and Keith something new entered the world. And it was good.

A record that annoys to death at first but then you suddenly start to love it. PiL themselves were taking the piss, but sometimes taking the piss results in amazing things - "Public Image First Issue" being one such example. Have it!

i would highly recommend buying this vinyl. the quality of the pressing even though thin vinyl is incredible, get a good stereo system, you will not be disappointed
