Not much to add about the pressing, which is excellent but falls short of the OP. The extra songs make this release more than worth the investment.

Just a note about the hype sticker - it inaccurately says that the original booklet is included. It was not. Just the new interviews with the band

An original pressing does sound better in most ways, clearer vocals and soundstage. This pressing can sometimes sound a bit muddy in comparison. But I still think it's worth getting as having all the tracks on vinyl for once is super cool.

Dynamic master but does anyone else have light surface noise (tiny clicks) on disc 1?

It’s particularly noticeable on the left channel during Heaven. It occurs throughout disc one intermittently. I’ve tried 3 copies from 2 different retailers and it’s present on all even after a clean in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Steady whooshing noise on all sides reminiscent of some older records in my collection, and some microscratches in the last track of side one. Dynamically it's fine. The outer sleeve is chintzy, and the booklet is, as I understand it, neutered versus the 2023 release. Slightly tight spindle hole on disc 1, tighter on disc 2. Sleeve says this was made in U.S.A., which doesn't surprise me--European-made vinyls I've purchased new in the last few years typically are superior in quality. I'm thankful my net cost on this was only $15 owing to the fact I used a $25 gift card towards its purchase. At full retail prices its flaws are unacceptable. Releases like this are why I'm considering giving up on new vinyl purchases in favor of a subscription to a lossless streaming service for ~12 bucks a month and pocketing the difference for better audio gear or CD versions of the albums I want.

Excellent pressing in every respect; constant detail and dynamics. My Amazon procured discs are flat and quiet; this is a steal. We are all fortunate to have a second phenomenal Heads' live release in 2024 (RSD WCOZ).

Fairly confident this pressing is my copy as the matrices are the same except for: Matrix / Runout (Runout, side D): 603497832835 R1724897-D RE1 (1) JN-H STERLING 264061E4 1911425.

I have noticed that this re-issue has the original "Psycho Killer" track from the initial vinyl release, and not the version that's actually in the film. The Special Expanded Edition CD re-issue about 20 years ago has the film version, with the little breakdowns at the end of the taped rhythm track, and the audience's response to Byrne's movements (seen in the film) at each "tape malfunction." Other than that, it's definitely the expanded soundtrack with "Cities" and "Big Business/I Zimbra." which aren't on that CD Special Edition.

Yeah I'm really confused as to how this is any different than the copy I got last year. Mine appears to include everything this release does, but they make it sound like this is a first for some reason.

Having handled a bunch of these as well as the 2023 pressing, I swear to god the production quality on these copies is lower. Maybe it's entirely placebo but the packaging feels much flimsier... at least the records still sound really good.

I think it sounds incredible. Very happy with this pressing, would definitely recommend.

Sounds great. Do wish the booklet was the same as last year’s version as this one just has the essays. Still lovely pressing
