I'd be willing to bet 1-9318-H-3, 2-9318-H-3 are incomplete entries. I have a copy of this that has those etched matrix's that also include other info in the runout including the ✲ indicating that those are actually Capitol Los Angeles pressings. I know this is for reviews but if you have this in your collection and you should double check your wax to make sure it doesn't belong to the other entry. On that note, the original pressings sound stellar. I can only attest to the Los Angeles pressing and it hits all the marks on my system. -
Edited one year agoI own this first USA press since day one (one owner lp) and kept it in the original shrink even though I have been tempted to tear it off since it’s a gatefold. Only played this on a Thorens TD 160 or dual 1019 with a high end stylus and proper tracking etc. I can say without a doubt that the pressing is dead quiet as long as you get a clean one that was played with excellent gear and cared for. It’s such an intimate recording that any noise will detract from the transparent 3 dimensional soundstage this has to offer. It’s truly a beautiful pressing. -
