Just listening to this again for the first time in a couple of years - wow this album is lifeless. It's crazy to think that this album came after In Rainbows!

It's the end of 2019 and to my mind this is possibly the weakest album of theirs to date. That is not to say it is bad, it just fails to mesmerise, baffle, capture or otherwise affect my emotions like the other recordings can in greater or lesser measure. Nothing here is in any way substandard, it just seems a little short on inspiration even if it is well executed. Maybe one day it will all click into place.
