I still don't understand the concept of witch house as a genre, but if it results in work like Holy Other's WITH U, I'm all for it. Instead of occult imagery on "Know Where," the track relies on melancholy synths and altered vocal snippets to form an atmospheric fog. "Yr Love" has the trappings of synth-pop, but with a darker, floating bent, and "Touch" delves into distorted, ghostly hip-hop that shapeshifts at every turn. "With U" merges shoegaze tendencies with R&B beats, and "Feel Something" closes out this EP on a sweeter note, the vocal snippets lining the melodic like glitter. Time to make the other the one.
