Just open my copy, sounds terribly bad, a lot of noises and crackle, specially on the voices, i have a pretty decent sound system btw, not a crosley -

My copy is incredibly noisy, even after a wet clean. Strangely quiet between tracks and then immediately noisy in the grooves. Will try another cleaning, but this isn't an amazing pressing IMO.

Looks like it's indeed hit-or-miss with this release. I originally ordered a copy through Levitation. It had so much surface noise that it ruined the listening experience for me.
Then I picked another one up at a local shop last month. This one sounds perfect. As far as I can tell they're the exact same pressing, so no knock against Levitation.
I really like the album too. It's giving me a stronger connection with more memorable songs than their last release. It was worth trying again. -

I love this album. This is one band that has been around a long time, but they still sound as fresh as ever. I think they have gotten better with age. I can't say that about many artists. I have the crystal clear version and the vinyl is dead silent, not a pop or click anywhere.

I've seen varying reviews for this pressing so perhaps this is an especially inconsistent release, but FWIW my copy of this record sounds fantastic. Dead quiet, and the kind of spacious mix Shoegaze music practically demands.
