Edited 20 days agoJust had a copy delivered - the runouts etc match this exactly but mine has a lined inner.

Just got my order in from Amazon and was so sure I would be getting the 2023 pressing... but I surprised to open it up and see the plastic lined sleeve and an extremely heavyweight vinyl inside! So.... I guess I got the 2013 press??? Right? Playing it right now and it sounds fantastic!

Edited one year agoIs there any way of telling this 2023 version from the 2013 version by the outside? I bought the 2023 version and it just had a regular paper inner sleeve I then asked a seller here if he was indeed selling the 2013 version because these versions were heavy and came in the nice lined mofi style sleeves. I haven't opened it yet but it looks exactly like the 2023 copy. It even has the "Made in Canada" stamp on the cellophane.

I’m with greggall on this one, a little dull a little muddy and my copy is noticeably dished/bowled but does not impact playback. At under $25, definitely good enough to complete my holy trinity of imperial era slayer LPs. Had been fortunate enough to find reasonably priced OGs of reign and seasons over the years, never the case with this one. Paper inner.

Killer album. The pressing sounds pretty great. Besides the cheap paper inner, give it a clean and spin it.

Edited 2 years agoThis review applies to the release with the following runouts, which I do not believe to be related to the release for this page:
(A side: 261536E1/A 10-99494 / B001885601 - A)
(B side: 261536E2/A 10-99494 / B001885601 - B)
Solid pressing, sounds almost as good as my first US pressing on CD (which you should own, if you don't, btw), but you HAVE to turn it up!! Finally got my hands on a vinyl reissue of this album at a fair price. Get yours before the scalpers do, they're out there for about $30 right now. -
Did anybody else's come in a plain paper sleeve?. All my other slayer reissues came in lined sleeves, save for this one. Sounds good regardless, just had to switch out.

It is nice to finally have this Slayer album in LP format. I have for years wanted this album on vinyl, but never wanted to break the bank for it. The vinyl itself sounds super clean, the mix seems slightly off to me, but overall this sounds good, especially for the price point! Definitely recommend this!
