I just got a copy of Viaje Fantástico (Mexican folk/psych rock from 1974) and to my big surprise I noted, without knowing any technicality about musical composition and plagiarism, that "Vida" sounds pretty much as the inspiration —if not the original work that got copied— for the renowned "Slice Of Life" in this album.

    Could it be?

(By the way "vida" means "life".)

The only Bauhaus record that I think about on a semi regular basis. I love how odd this record can be. I like how accoustic it is. I just like the sound of it as a record. I have "Mask" but I don't get it. I think it just sounds a bit basic and a bit standard. This is more my thing. It sounds less like basic goth. It has a feel of the mystic.

By far the best Bauhaus album to me with the first one... but maybe that's because I'm a Tones on Tail fan

Probably the least loved album from the band but you’d be wrong to ignore it. In some ways sounds more like Tones On Tail or even Love And Rockets but with Pete Murphy doing the singing.
Not the dark cold wall of noise you’d expect from Bauhaus but a more relaxed and dare I say it tinges of acid as in recorded on it . There was lots floating around this time and it feels like it.
Should be heard before dismissed and has probably aged better than their noisier goth output.
