Edited 2 years agoMy copy sounds very warbly on both sides. Pretty noticeable on August 10 and Friday Morning. Lots of surface scratches too

Edited 2 years agoI was unlucky and got a copy with a proper scratch through 'August 10'. There is surface scuffing which doesn't affect sound at all – largely it's a very good cut and mix, and the rest of the album sounds lovely. Quiet grooves for very dynamic music. I agree with the other Discoggers that QC on this pressing leaves a lot to be desired. Caveat emptor
Update: a second copy was no better out of the shrink, visually even worse. I’d exercise extreme caution if buying this pressing -
Garbage pressing from MPO as per usual.... scuffed to high hell.... loads of weird stiching lines running at angles through grooves. A total abhorrent noise fest. Returned for the far superior CD, which is something MPO should stick to making
EDIT: Try the US Dead Oceans 2022 repress... its alot better. I still recommend the CD too -
Of course a great record and it sounds good but my copy was unbelievably dirty. Don't know how this could have ever ed QC. It's covered in some kind of residue over the entire surface. It was pretty expensive too. Real pity because this really takes away from the joy of buying new sealed records.
