I literally unsealed my copy of the Off-White numbered variant today and played after reading reviews here. The record sounds great! Well, there is some surface noise (crackles, mostly), but not serious at all to ruin the listening experience of this album. I believe that this is mostly because the vinyl surface is not that clean (which was the case for the black variant for me). And, this can be solved either by cleaning or by playing the vinyl often. :) -
I don’t agree with WesHeadly. This album and this exact version is very high on my list of best sounding albums of 2018. It really sounds fenomenal, you won’t be disappointed.

Edited 6 years agoWell I was hoping that by ordering this more expensive import pressing on off-white colored vinyl it would be better than the three black vinyl US pressings I've tried-- and it is-- just slightly. This is merely poor quality whereas the US version black vinyl was near unlistenable given the levels of loud surface noise and non-fill distortion throughout both sides. Overall, this truly excellent album is done a great disservice by a series of, at best, shoddy pressings. Look at the comments on the black vinyl version to read more of the same. Fail! Deserves a proper repress!
UPDATE 7/12/2018: After three or four deep cleanings with 2.5% Triton X-100 detergent in a 95/5 DH20/IPA base solution-- noise is reduced and the sound has improved considerable. One cleaning did almost nothing. So it's worth buying if you have the means of doing the extreme cleaning I think is necessary to bring the noise levels down.
