Why did they go back to synth pop with album 5? Album 4 Seventh Tree confused fans that's why!

Great dynamics, nice pressing, sturdy cover. Buy with confidence. Great band.

As well as the 2 posters, mine also came with 2 postcards depicting the same artwork as the 2 posters. Fantastic pressing on extremely quiet vinyl.

My copy did not come with a CD, is this common?

"Head First" is the only weak album in Goldfrapp's catalogue, drifting from 80's club anthems to Italo disco genre - yet this pressing is marvelous from head to toe. It includes a free poster & CD of the full album, the 180G pressing is dead quiet and dynamic.

Standout tracks include 'Rocket', 'Believer', 'Head First' and 'Shiny and Warm'.
Rather than another change in direction after the glam of Supernature and the etherealness that was the last album, Seventh Tree, Goldfrapp have evolved Seventh Tree into a more poppy and perhaps mainstream friendly version. A couple of disappointing factors include all the tracks not really standing out from each other and only 8 vocal tracks, the 9th being a vocal exercise type thing (that could have been reserved for a b-side).
I hope Goldfrapp aren't running out of ideas...
