I'm completely opposite from the reviews here. Sound is significantly worse than the CD or streaming. Very very quiet, and lets all the surface noise break through the music. Played it one a year ago and have not touched it since.

Edited one year agoSo this is my 3rd review on a Maxwell LP on here & no surprise that THIS LP turns out to be a great purchase too!
As it turns out even though this LP is cheaper than the other two the sound quality is still good due to;low surface noise,a totally flat pressing(both sides),beautiful just beautiful looking vinyl with the Root beer marble effect - truly STUNNING for the price. Speaking of price this was less than £21 at the time of purchase for me,with the limited edition single disc LP you get,a 12pg booklet that has a new essay & unseen photos of this fantastic vocalist + the RSD promotion sticker top left.
Sound quality is spot on with all three frequencies very well balanced so you`re hearing what your turntable system is really reproducing. Maxwell`s vocals are wonderful along with the accompanying musicians, funky neo soul accompaniment.
It did only come in a cheap card/paper printed inner sleeve(forgivable for the price paid)but once it was wet vacuumed cleaned this was naturally changed to a anti-static type sleeve.
Highly recommended - I didn`t talk about the tracks individually because I don`t normally in my reviews BUT I WILL mention the Kate Bush cover. As some of you know "This Woman`s Work" was written by Kate Bush (88") is about unexpected and frightening crisis during the normal event of childbirth & Maxwell pulls this song off to perfection due to his falsetto voice - this track IS a thing of beauty.

Masterpiece! Excelente relanzamiento, el color del vinilo es embriagante y suena bien, han hecho una buena masterización, los bajos tienen una presencia enorme y el ambiente sonoro es extraordinario. Esta edición le hace verdadera justicia a la música de Maxwell. Aplausos 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Not a big fan of colored pressings but this one is stunning. Silent, zero sibilances, great bass and dynamics, clear voice... It says on the booklet that it was remastered and it really pays off. Maxwell's been doing a great job on bringing his masterpieces up to a new level.
