Edited one month agoGot from Amazon new. Came with several scuffs all over. Was SUPER warped ! Sending back immediately. Hurts bc it sounds great and is dead silent. But I can't do warp. Wake me up also skips! Prolly just a bad copy we will see when the replacement comes.
Replacement came only slightly warped and still scuffed. Still sounds really nice. -
Some surface noise, as others have mentioned, but still a very good pressing, loud and punchy. Soundstage leaves a little to be desired, but the parts with fewer instruments really come through like a dream. I recommend this pressing to anyone still needing this classic for their collection.
Be warned though, I had originally picked this up because the price tag sticker had claimed this was the phenomenal 2009 pressing, and even the jacket has 2009 printed on it. This, however, turned out to be the 2021 pressing. Still good, but try not to be fooled. Purchased at a Barnes and Noble in November of 2024. Still recommend though! -
There is definitely surface noise at times , but I would say the overall quality and sound is fantastic.

There’s a couple skips on Holiday, but nothing unbearable. The record sounds great, with side D sounding especially clear and crisp. I highly recommend if you’re a fan!
-
Holiday on side B skips quite a bit and the track is nearly unlistenable (brand new copy). Not sure if that's just my copy. Otherwise sounds great.

An amazing record. The vinyl is presented very well. Sound is great and records are flat without warping. A must own for your collection

This is a really impressive release, including the vinyl presentation, pressing, and sleeve reproduction. No complaints whatsoever, especially at a bit of a , 35 bucks.
The record is a stunning example of Green Day at their finest, presenting their formula of well considered acoustic verse sections interlaced with high-energy punk rock. I'll argue, Weezer steals this formula later to good effect.
A lot to like about "American Idiot", definitely check it out if you are not sure about this band or genre.
No complaints about the pressing whatsoever, it sounds clean and perfect. Recommended. -
Picked this up at Best Buy today and it's going back. Horrible dimpled vinyl on both records. Record 1 was wildly off center on Side A and somewhat improved on Side B. I didn't even bother checking the second record. Not sure if this is a newer reissue as the release date on the sleeve states 2009. Runout is equally vague as to who pressed this but it's clearly not a Rainbo, Pallas, or RTI pressing. It also appears to have been recut by Joe Nino-Hernes as opposed to Stan Ricker or Ray Janos on the earlier presses.
